Our Story

Gently Made’s Personalised Snuggle Book was first conceptualised as I watched my firstborn explore in his early months. I began to imagine the adventures he might embark on as he grow. I became passionate in wanting to share these themed narratives with him so I illustrated and sewed them into interactive touch-and-feel soft books that are safe and suitable to accompany him through growth and development stages; munch-friendly during teething & rip-proof during exploring.

I would also create the gentlest and baby-safe essentials for him at different stages, such as soft padded changing mat and breathable dribble bibs made of organic cotton. As I designed more creations for my family and friends’ babies, I became more inspired. This naturally led to the launch of Gently Made, with an earnest hope of sharing the same thoughtful products with parents worldwide.

2 years on, Gently Made has developed into a creative brand that designs with curious children and modern parents in mind. We aim to provide well-purposed designs of play and wear for children to learn, imagine and explore with ease. We design our wear & on-the-go products with the idea of comfort and ease of use with quality assurance and aesthetics that can bring delight to both children and parents. Our creations bear a signature aesthetic of being imaginative, playful and heartfelt.

We seek to create fun and creative narratives, hoping for the children and parents to immerse in their shared imagination together as they embark on adventures full of endless possibilities. In our course of design, we also strive for a gentler environment footprint with sustainable business practices and materials. Our products are crafted in small runs by trusted, independent seamstresses with high quality assurance.
